MAX RICHTER SLEEP CONCEPT STORE
Client: DECCA Records

The Brief
To mark 10 years of Max Richter’s SLEEP composition it was performed live across two nights for 1,800 fans within the Great Hall at Alexandra Palace. We were tasked to create an experience that deepened the audience’s connection to the music and its creative origins, and create a curated space for merchandise to be sold for the first time.

THE SOLUTION
We designed and produced an installation and concept store that extended the world of SLEEP beyond the performance itself - giving audiences a way to step inside the eight-hour composition and explore its visual and emotional depth.
In the Palm Court, a five-metre illuminated moon and the full 90-page score guided guests into the Great Hall, setting a calm, contemplative tone before the first note began.
The concept store and installation invited visitors to reflect on the themes of rest, time, and creativity that define the work and engage in the merchandise in a way that authentically linked to the experience.
